MedApp in the OVHcloud Startup Program

MedApp, an innovative medtech (SaMD – software as a medical device) company listed in Warsaw and Frankfurt, has joined the OVHcloud Program, Europe’s largest cloud provider supporting startups and scale-ups.

“Customers using MedApp’s solutions are increasingly interested in the cloud as a place to efficiently and securely store and process medical data.We also provide such an opportunity. That is why we start cooperation with one of the most trusted providers of cloud solutions – OVHcloud with its local data center in Warsaw. We are convinced that the spread of the cloud will support scalability and development of our business,” highlighted Krzysztof Mędrala, CEO of MedApp S.A.

The OVHcloud Program for startups runs worldwide, and so far more than 2,500 startups and scale-ups have taken part in it. The program implements the idea of SMART cloud (Simple to use, Multi-local, Accessible, Reversible and Transparent) and provides participants with a high number of benefits.

“We are pleased that our program is adjusted to the needs of companies that are growing rapidly, like MedApp. All the more so because in the health care sector, trust in a cloud provider that stores sensitive data becomes particularly important,” emphasized Natalia Świrska, CEE Startup Program Manager at OVHcloud. “In addition, our cooperation perfectly reflects the flexibility of the program: every time we adjust the offer to the needs of companies cooperating with us.”

As part of the program, MedApp gains funding from OVHcloud in the form of access to cloud resources as well as mentoring and support for international business development. OVHcloud support will be used by MedApp in the development of its current flagship products: CarnaLife Holo and CarnaLife System. MedApp’s technology solutions support next-generation diagnostic imaging and digital medicine, and these products are developed based on mixed reality, artificial intelligence and big data analytics.

“We are proud to work with such innovative companies as MedApp,” comments Robert Paszkiewicz, VP, Central Eastern Europe at OVHcloud. “The cloud enhances the development of the health care sector. We use e-consultations, e-prescriptions or e-referrals. MedApp proves that modern technologies allow to develop diagnostic imaging and next generation digital medicine. As a result, the catalog of online services for patients continues to grow, making access to doctors and diagnostics easier, but also causing an increase in the amount of medical data that needs to be securely stored and processed. When creating e-health solutions, it is worth remembering not only about the usefulness and innovation of such solutions, but also about choosing a trusted cloud provider who can, through such means as certifications and audits, guarantee proper data protection.”
